Dan DeKoter is a Martindale-Hubbell “AV” rated lawyer- the highest rating which any lawyer can receive professionally from the premier attorney rating service in the country. He has been a general practitioner since 1980 and has experience in personal injury and product liability litigation, business litigation, business law in general, and estate planning, wills and trusts. Aside from being an experienced lawyer, he is a philanthropist who involves himself in a variety of social-welfare activities. He is a member of the Sibley Kiwanis Club- a leading organization that is committed to promoting children’s causes throughout the world.

Dan DeKoter has donated to the Sibley-Ocheyedan Community School District, the Sibley Public Library, the Ocheyedan Public Library, the Ashton Public Library, the Melvin Public Library, the Sanborn Public Library and the George Public Library. He also donates a substantial amount of money to ATLAS of Osceola County to help the needy, and Village Northwest Unlimited that is dedicated to providing residential services to the mentally challenged. His law firm has separately contributed about $20,000 in cash to various charitable causes in the past five of years. Moreover, the company also offers free legal services to various charitable institutions in its service area.
During his free time, Dan DeKoter enjoys traveling and sightseeing. He takes part in a golf league in Sibley on Thursdays in the summer and enjoys boating. He also likes to read in his free time, and has special interest in history, political analysis and mystery books.
